If you haven't had a chance to read "Nourishing Wisdom" yet, you may want to pick up a copy. The author covers similar points you brought up here in regard our relationships with food.hakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08896324510960012602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26881187.post-79883214055968388552008-05-08T07:40:00.000-07:002008-05-08T07:40:00.000-07:00Scott, I just wanted to let you know that I very m...Scott,

I just wanted to let you know that I very much enjoyed reading this month's blog entry. I no longer obsess about my food and/or workouts. Instead, I make smart choices and when I workout I give it my all and no longer feel guilt for not doing another session of cardio. As for food, I have always believed that we have a massive misunderstanding about food in our culture - Americans want each and every meal to be this uber pleasurable experience and one that overwhelms our senses. Instead, we need to view our meals as fuel for our body. The occasional cheat meal or cheat day has its purpose but otherwise food should be considered fuel and with that the emotional and spiritual connection for how it is used in the body will be addressed. When one recognizes how food is just as much a part of the body as blood and skin, making healthy choices will become second nature.
Just my 2 cents. :)
JessicaJessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05642277411680774594noreply@blogger.com
